An outing

Hello.

Today I went for my first proper outing.

( In the background I am bar code scanning my dads books and my mum is typing for me ((lucky mum – I obviously had nothing better to do :) )

So today I went out to Kingston Lacy – this was my first proper outing since the operation. (beep) it was quite funny because – this is how it was on my pain meter 5-1-5-1-5-1-3-3-3 ( 10 is REALLLY bad, 8 is not as bad etc). It was like this because there was good tarmac for my chair and then BUMPY gravel. It felt strange being out and about after a long time. It is strange being in the chair and it is boring – really boring. My mum tried to make it more better today – it nearly worked but it didn’t succeed. It worked when she lifted me out of the chair so i could sit with the others and look at the butterflies. The best think about Kingston lacy is it is quite and we had fudge which was very nice.

I am feeling ok about everything though I dont really like having visitors very much. I like is just being my family,

Tom

How long have you got to stay in the chair Tom? Fudge sounds good! – Uncle Nick

At least your Mum did try to make things better. And it sounds as if you enjoyed the butterflies.

We had an outing today too. We went to the River Thames at Henley, and watch all the boats go by.

    Hey Tom,

Fudge sounds a great did you eat it all yourself? :-)

We had a kit that sent us caterpillars that then turned into butterflies. It was great. I think butterflies are beautiful.
Hope that you are back down to 1 on the pain o meter now!

    Love helen xx

it is good to keep your parents busy tom otherwise they might get bored! however, i think you should check mums spelling from now on. if you see other people they might bring you sweets, so it could be worth it. see you soon x

    Hi Tom,

Glad you had a good time at Kingston Lacey. Fudge sounds good – I like the clotted Cream or Rum and Raisin!

We don’t seem to get many butterfiles this far north!!
